Chris Legleiter, Principal
Chris Legleiter grew up in northeast Kansas and graduated from Kansas State University with a Bachelor of Science in secondary education and a Master of Science in educational administration. Before joining Blue Valley, he taught and coached at Washburn Rural High School and St. Mary’s High School.
Legleiter came to Blue Valley in 2003 and taught high school science for several years before transitioning from teaching to administration. He served as an assistant principal at both the middle school and high school levels before becoming principal of Aubry Bend Middle School.
He is proud to lead Aubry Bend and values the opportunity to work with staff and partner with parents and guardians to provide the best school experience for every student. Legleiter believes a quality school is one where students and staff form strong connections and where instruction offers academic challenges through relevant, skills-based learning. He is also committed to helping each student find a school activity they can engage in and succeed at.
Legleiter and his wife, Julie, have two daughters who keep them busy with many school-related activities. When he is not supporting the Wolverines of Aubry Bend, he is cheering on his daughters or spending time with his family.

Chris Huggard is a proud product of the Blue Valley School District. Growing up in a military family, Chris landed in Overland Park and began attending Harmony Middle School as a 7th grader in 2002 and graduated from Blue Valley Northwest in 2008. After graduation, Chris attended Kansas State University and graduated in December of 2012 with a degree in education. Later in his career, he obtained a degree in Building Leadership from the University of Kansas in 2018.

Nicole Orrick has been with the Blue Valley School District since 2008 and brings dedicated experience in education to her role at Aubry Bend Middle School. She earned a Bachelor of Science in English education from the University of Nebraska at Omaha and a Master of Science in educational leadership from Baker University.
