About Us

Brooke Ash serves as the principal at Aubry Bend Middle School. A proud graduate of the Blue Valley School District and Blue Valley Northwest High School, she began her educational journey at the University of Nebraska, earning a bachelor's degree in elementary education. She later earned a master's degree in educational leadership from Pittsburg State University.

Ash began her teaching career in the Shawnee Mission School District before transitioning to Overland Trail Middle School, where she taught Science, English and executive functioning skills. She also coached softball and volleyball at Blue Valley West High School for six years. Inspired by the impact teachers and coaches had on her own life, Ash values building meaningful connections with students and families and enjoys seeing former students and athletes out in the community.

Before joining Aubry Bend Middle, Ash served as assistant principal at Blue Valley Middle School and Lakewood Middle School. She previously worked as an instructional design coach and one of the district’s grades 6–12 science coordinators, primarily supporting Leawood Middle and Prairie Star Middle. In those roles, she mentored new teachers, collaborated on lesson planning, led professional development, and contributed to district science curriculum and resource adoption.

Outside of school, Ash enjoys traveling with her family and spending time outdoors. She and her husband, Nick, have three children, Peyton, Barrett, and Jensen. 

Mrs. Ash is excited to be part of the Aubry Bend Middle School community and looks forward to building relationships with students, staff, and families in the years ahead.
